A Message from IFWTO

Dear IFWTO community,

It is with deep sadness that we announce postponement of IFWTO2020.  We know that you will understand that this is the best decision with so many current unknowns due to COVID19.  We are working closely with our partners and venue Harbourfront Centre to determine a future date for the festival, and will keep you posted as soon as we have more information. Once we are able to move forward, we will do so with the same planned programming.

Following the recommendations of the Federal, Provincial, Municipal governments, and the Ontario Chief Medical Officer regarding COVID-19, it is our top priority to ensure that everyone’s health and well-being is protected.

We are committed to presenting and promoting the work of outstanding designers and artists including those who were selected for this year’s IFWTO. We are a community of resilient creators and movers and we sincerely look forward to moving ahead as soon as possible. It is our goal to take the best plan of action for the best and safest possible presentation of Indigenous-made works in fashion, craft and textiles.

We will continue to provide updates on the details of our planning moving forward.

Please take care of yourselves and your community members. Practice social distancing, but keep in touch with eachother by phone, video chat and email!
