The 2024 Indigenous Fashion Arts Festival runs from May 30 – June 2 in downtown Toronto. More than 100 Indigenous artists and designers will participate in runway shows, a marketplace, panel discussions and hands-on workshops.
IFA collaborates with brands to blend traditional artistry with contemporary design, celebrating Indigenous culture through unique fashion experiences. Together, we elevate diverse voices, promote sustainability, and reshape narratives in the fashion industry.
The IFA Trade Program promotes international trade between Canadian and global Indigenous designers, enhancing visibility and inclusion of Indigenous knowledge and cultural expressions in fashion, craft, and textiles. It supports Indigenous artist entrepreneurs by providing resources to increase revenue, market growth, product longevity, and access to export financing and global supply chains. Observing nation-to-nation protocols, the program fosters inter-tribal trade alliances, peace, and resource sharing, collaborating with partners and stakeholders for a balanced and mutually beneficial experience.
The Network Weave is an innovative initiative strategically designed to establish a collaborative framework governed by Indigenous professionals in fashion, craft, and textiles.
