As a key component of the mainstream fashion system, fashion schools and educators have a unique role in shaping the next generation of fashion leaders. Today many institutions are committing themselves to ‘indigenizing’ their curriculums and repairing relationships with Indigenous students. In this panel, a wide range of activists, educators, scholars and students will discuss their projects and comment on the role that fashion education has in supporting Indigenous design.
