Margaret Jacobs, Akwesasne Mohawk, is a metalsmith known for her steel sculpture and powder-coated jewelry. Her jewelry explores the tension and harmony between natural and man-made and strives to create conversations around materiality and duality. She embraces and intermingles technological processes generally seen in commercial applications with materials more frequently associated with Indigenous work such as antler, shells and horns and frequently intermingles unexpected and contradicting materials.
