Past to Present represents Margaret Jacob’s family’s connection to rural life, subsistence and sustainability both historically and presently. Inspired by family photos of relatives in vintage Sportsman’s clothing and workwear, Past to Present explores those ideas in relationship to the land through accessories and one-of-a-kind clothing. Margaret asks: when hunting, fishing, or foraging, how does the human connection to that activity inspire dress, both for practicality and adornment and how does that translate into a more day-to-day setting?
