Kinoo Arcentales Cajas takes inspiration from his Kichwa roots and the legacy of his grandmothers. He is also influenced by having navigated through two Indigenous worlds his whole life: Northern and Southern. Kinoo is a trained fashion designer with a keen interest in bringing together traditional patterns with modern interpretation through fabrics and has many years of experience working in apparel development. Kinoo worked as wardrobe designer in productions such as Shanawdithit (Tapestry Opera), and Almighty Voice (Soulpepper Theatre) and is now releasing his latest runway collection KAWSANKI at IFAW 2024.
