Indigenous Fashion Arts is proud to announce the 2024 Festival lineup, which includes 89 Indigenous artists, designers, makers and brands from across Canada and around the world. Happening at the Art Gallery of Ontario in downtown Toronto, the IFA Festival will take place over four evenings with runway shows, an outdoor marketplace steps from the Fashion District, a panel series with more than 20 speakers, hands-on workshops of traditional practices, an art exhibition and public programming. Please see the full list of participants for the Runway and Marketplace, below. This year’s spotlight features Indigenous artists from Central and South America. Participants are selected by a committee of art and fashion industry members and community peers.
“This year’s festival programming will continue to push boundaries in art and fashion, in terms of practice and vision. I am thrilled about the diversity of work and the increase in first-time applicants,” says Sage Paul, IFA Executive and Artistic Director. “During the selection process, we strive for a program that is provoking, beautiful and inspiring while considering important factors for our community, like representation, access and protocols. Congratulations to each of the programmed designers and mahsi cho to everyone who took the time to apply.”
The 2024 IFA Festival will run May 30 – June 2, 2024 at the Art Gallery of Ontario.
