Wanda Nanibush

Wanda Nanibush is an Anishinaabe-kwe curator, writer, and image warrior from Beausoleil First Nation. She has curated numerous exhibitions including Rebecca Belmore: Facing the Monumental, Sovereign Acts, Toronto: Tributes & Tributaries. Nanibush’s current exhibition Robert Houle: Red is Beautiful is currently touring to NMAI, Smithsonian in Washington. Nanibush is the founder of aabaakwad, a yearly gathering of International Indigenous writers, artists and curators. The last one took place at the Venice Biennale. Recently her co-authored book Moving the Museum won the Toronto Book Award.
