MAWO is written in the Wichi language which means mountain fox and WICHILHENAY is the personal brand of all Wichi which means “handmade by the Wichi.” MAWO features handmade products made from vegetable fibre. MAWO tells Wichi history, culture, heritage and value, where each stitch is unique and a unique product of its small cultural place.
MAWO is socially sustainable, linking Indigenous work to the textile industry with the ingenuity of each artisan, the inclusion of modern technology, and inspired by the care of nature. MAWO adapts each design to production criteria, based on innovation, tradition, culture, originality and authenticity.
