Bronwyn Butterfield (she/her) is a self-taught artist focusing on beadwork. She is fourth-generation beadwork in her family. She creates various unique pieces such as earrings, pins, moccasins, mittens and more that combine beadwork, leatherwork and sewing. Her designs incorporate inspiration from family patterns, historical Métis beadwork, her love for creativity and innovation, and her own experiences on the land. Her family is of Métis-Cree-Scottish ancestry (McLeod) from Kinosewi-Sipihk (Norway House, MB) and mixed European ancestry. Bronwyn resides in Treaty 1 territory, in Winnipeg, Canada, where she was born and raised.
