Abitong’s grandparents taught her traditional and contemporary Indigenous styles of art and design, including the processes of quillwork, harvesting the birch bark, cleaning, dyeing and mapping out the porcupine’s quills. The direction of cuts on the bark guide the creation of the design. Dallas beads and quills accessories, earrings, medallions, pouches and hats.
